Networking with a twist

Don’t worry that you won’t know who to talk to because, here’s the twist: when booking your ticket/s, you will be asked to register your interests. This will generate colour coded badges so that, at the event, you will be able to identify others in your sector/s – and they will be able to find you too.

So, if you’re a food producer or supplier looking for an outlet – or a shop owner looking for suppliers, you will be able to easily find one another.  Or perhaps you’re an artist  looking for a gift shop to stock your work.  Maybe you represent a small local charity and would like to talk to businesses about gifts in kind or sponsorship. Or maybe you have holiday accommodation in Yorkshire and want to promote it to everyone.  Whatever your Yorkshire business, this event is for you!

There will also be themed ‘Meeting Points’ within the venue to make it even easier to find who you’re looking for.  (Just look out for the colourful helium balloons supplied by #Yorkshirehour supporters, Cardelium.)

Tweet up

As this event includes a ‘Tweet up’ (a real live meeting of people who’ve tweeted each other), badges will also include Twitter names to help you put a face to the name – literally!

The attendee list shows all the people who’ve booked so, if you fancy meeting up with someone in particular, why not tweet them in advance and agree a time and place to meet at the event?

#Yorkshirehourlive Twitterfall 7pm-9pm

Experience Wakefield and Ramsdens Solicitors are proud to support the live Twitterfall from 7pm-9pm in the YSP Centre Auditorium.  This will feature a live feed of all the tweets using the hashtag #Yorkshirehourlive so, whatever you tweet will be on the big screen.  8-9pm will be #Yorkshirehour so you’ll be able to see all the usual tweets too!

Sinead Sopala, Ramsdens Solicitors says, “We are delighted to be involved in such an innovative event.  #Yorkshirehour is a ‘social’ community effort and this event is testament to the strength of social media and bringing people together.”
